The TRI-Lab (Teaching, Research, Impact) is a new initiative of Brown University's Swearer Center for Public Service that brings together students, faculty and community practitioners to engage with a complex social issue and collaboratively develop, refine and test solutions to that issue.
This site visit will highlight TRI-Lab's origins and model, the work of the first and current Lab on Healthy Early Childhood Development, and plans for two new Labs on the topics of Food Systems and Climate Adaptation in Rhode Island. The session will include a panel of TRI-Lab staff and current and future TRI-Lab participants, including faculty, students, and community practitioners.
